- On 14th and 15th of June 2008, on Hotel ROMANA in Durrės was held with complete success the activities of the Preliminary Meeting of the Nationwide Convention, where took part more than 200 representatives from all the Albanian ethnic territories and Albanian Diaspora.
- The Preliminary Meeting of the Nationwide Convention was opened with the intonation of the National Anthem and a minute of silence in the honor of all the Albanian nations martyrs.
- The Preliminary Meeting of the Nationwide Conventions activities were developed in three meetings was developed in three sittings:
1) The Preliminary Plenary Meeting,
2) The Plenary Meeting, and
3) The Final Meeting.
-In the Preliminary Plenary Meeting, the representatives were presented; they discussed also on the political situation in the Albanian territories, and presented concrete proposals for the necessity of the development of the Nationwide Convention.
-In the Plenary Meeting, on behalf of the Leadership of the Organizational Council of the Nationwide Convention, the Secretary General red the Report of the Work of the Organizational Council of the Nationwide Convention from its foundation (on 25th of November 2006 in Hotel Tirana from Tirana) and until the Preliminary Meeting of the Nationwide Convention.
-On the end of this meeting, the conclusions of the Preliminary Meeting were deduced, as below:
1) The Nationwide Convention must be hold necessarily before the celebrations of the celebrations of November 2008;
2) The Organizational Council of the Nationwide Convention was charged for the creation and the consolidation of 7 (seven) commissions of the Nationwide Convention;
3) The Nationwide Convention will approve the Theses of the Finalization of the National Unification, as well as the Program and the Statute of the Albanian National Assembly, which will become known to the national and international public opinion also through an Memorandum of the Nationwide Convention;
4) The Project-theses of the Finalization of the National Unification were presented to all the representatives of the Nationwide Convention, whose observations and suggestions must be hand in to the Central Presidency of the Organizational Council of the Nationwide Convention until 1st of October 2008.
- The Preliminary Meeting of the Nationwide Convention consolidated also the Organizational Council of the Nationwide Convention, with this content:
